Introducing Our New Counterpoint Media Partner
We at Iowa 411 are pleased – well, perhaps “morbidly fascinated” is more accurate – to announce our new media collaboration with none other than The Infernal Empire of Hell.
Now, before you light your torches, let’s be clear: we share no common ground with this ancient exemplar of evil. However, in today’s climate of “both-sides” journalism, righteousness alone risks being labeled biased. To maintain the illusion of balance, we felt it only fair to include commentary from the other end of the moral spectrum – literally.
And since we could not get a White House press pass, we figured this would be the next best thing.
The start of a partnership
Our partnership began with last week’s exclusive interview with the Devil, a surprisingly candid discussion about politics, pride, and public relations in the underworld. The conversation was so illuminating (and mildly sulfuric) that we’ve decided to make it a regular feature.
Through the Infernal Empire’s feature stories and commentary, we intend to offer readers a well-balanced news product – equal parts insight and incineration. Their editorial team promises to provide “counterpoints” to traditional virtues such as honesty, compassion, and factual accuracy. We, in turn, promise to fact-check their flames.
True understanding
Because at Iowa 411, we believe true understanding comes not only from listening to angels – but occasionally from hearing what the devils are plotting. And don’t worry, this union was formed by verbal agreement – because we realize they don’t have the best reputation with respect to contracts.
